TCS had a team of more than 12 people who delivered the entire project to the company's first US based customer. This again signalled the birth of the Indian Software Export Industry. In fact, in the year 1979, TCS reached a landmark when it became the first Indian software services firm which opened an overseas office in New York, USA.
